Santa and reindeer ready for Xmas.

It’s that time of year again – time to search your brain for ideas on how to come up with some cool Christmas gifts for that special gardener in your family.

So, what to buy them?  It should be something that will stand out as a gift for “someone special” – as well as something that will be used – and not just gather dust on a shelf – or, in a corner of the garage.

How about buying them one of these commonsense and practical gifts that any self-respecting gardener would prize and cherish???

Click and Grow Smart Garden

Click and Grow Smart Garden

Would a portable garden that can sit in the kitchen and produce herbs, salad greens, decorative flowers, and fruiting plants – year ‘round – be a match for a gardener on your Xmas list?

Then, you may want to take a closer look at the Click and Grow Smart Garden.

This great product is so simple to set up.  Making morning coffee in your coffeemaker is a daunting task – in comparison!

The “Smart Soil” pods automatically release nutrients for the plants – as needed – throughout the entire growth cycle.  This “Smart Soil” also stabilizes the pH level and provides oxygen to the plant roots – so the plants can breathe.

Some of the “seed loaded” pods offered are:

Herbs – basil, cilantro (coriander), oregano, parsley, rosemary, sage, and thyme.

Salad Greens – arugula, green lettuce, romaine lettuce, mustard, and sorrel – plus others.

Fruiting Plants – peppers (a variety), strawberries (wild), and tomatoes (mini).

Decorative Flowers – a variety.

There are over 50 different pre-seeded plant pods currently available.  And, seedless pods can be ordered – if you want to grow something different.

Everything is “non-GMO” – which means that there were no herbicides, fungicides, or pesticides used.

An added plus?  Plants grown in the Click and Grow environment contain a whopping 6 times the vitamins of their counterparts sold in the grocery store!

The company offers a 100% replacement warranty – as well as a 30 day money back guarantee!

Have I sold you yet?  I know I can think of quite a few gardeners on my list that would be in seventh heaven if they received a Click and Grow Smart Garden this Christmas!

Women’s Wide Brim Braided Sun HatWomen's Wide Brim Braided Sun Hat with Wind Lanyard

My wife just loves the way this hat fits her – even with all that long hair she has!  “I think the unique and well made hat band is part of the reason that this hat is so darn comfortable”, she says.

A wind lanyard keeps the hat from blowing off her head when she is picking produce during harvest time – when it gets a bit gusty and windy.

At such a low price, the Women’s Wide Brim Braided Sun Hat is the perfect gift for your favorite lady gardeners.

Garden Genie Waterproof Gloves

Garden Genie Waterproof Gloves

With these gloves, the gardener can claw their way through debris – loosen the soil – plant and cover seeds – trim thorn bushes – and just about anything else imaginable – where they need tough hand protection without giving up the ability to feel their work.

These gloves are a “universal” size that fits most women, men, and older children.  The 4 durable, detachable claws are made out of ABS plastic – aiding in digging through loose dirt without using a trowel – or raking away mulch and leaves.

In the Yoda’s vernacular (of Star Wars fame) – “what perfect gardening gifts the Garden Genie Waterproof Gloves are!”

Gardener’s Friend Pruners

The Gardener's Friend Pruners, Ratchet Pruning Shears, Garden Tool, For Weak Hands

Do you know someone who has arthritis?  Or, CTS (Carpel Tunnel Syndrome)?  Then, a pair of the Gardener’s Friend Pruners is right up their alley!

Equally effective – whether the person is right or left handed – these pruners use a ratchet system to easily pierce tough plant stems with a super sharp carbon steel hardened blade.  These babies will even slice through a 1 inch tree limb with ease!

The Gardener’s Friend Pruners were designed by professional gardeners – and are expressly great due to their superior ergonomic design for senior citizens – or anyone with a touch of arthritis or CTS – allowing them a pain free, safe, and simple way to go about their garden trimming tasks!

BloomWall Self Watering Planter for Vertical Gardens (6 pack)

Self Watering Planter for Vertical Gardens

For that gardener on your list who is busier than a one-eyed mosquito in a nudist colony – the BloomWall Selft Watering Planter for Vertical Gardens will definitely come in handy!

Buying the planters in “packs of 6” offers the best price break – as opposed to buying these planters one at a time.

These can be placed indoors or outdoors.  All planters have water indicators to let you know when it’s time to give your plants a drink.

Planters can be used individually as window boxes – or, stacked vertically on top of each other – or, joined horizontally.  And, they will work in conjunction with each other.

What self respecting gardener wouldn’t enjoy having the BloomWall Self Watering Planter for Vertical Gardens?  I consider myself a self respecting gardener who would take pleasure in owning these planters!  How about you?

    Hi Jim,

I think you have a plethora of information out there on your vegetable garden planning. I especially liked the Garden Genie Waterproof Gloves and the Gardener’s Friend Pruners – My mom has arthritis and those would be so beneficial to her.

Who knows, I might get a pair for her in the future ….. Like, for her birthday … 😉

I feel that you have provided enough information on your website for even the simplest of beginner gardeners.

I’m also a big fan of the vertical wall planters — No Weeds !!  My husband likes to use those a lot .

It would be nice to have a automatic water filler though ….Hmm…  🙂

Best of luck to your success

      Hi Jessie,

A “plethora” describes it pretty well.

Looks like your mom could get some great gloves – at least – for her birthday (or, maybe Christmas?).

And, it sounds like your hubby would get a real kick out of the vertical wall planters.  But, isn’t it enough to know that all you have to do is fill them up with water – and, then just check them every week or so – to ensure that there is still water left in them?

Hello. Thanks a lot for sharing with us such amazing Christmas gifts for gardeners.

Me and my wife just moved into a new apartment and we want to decorate it for this Christmas holidays. I want to surprise her with a Christmas gift. I think the Grow smart garden is my favorite one. I just imagine how this portable garden will stay in my kitchen and will produce a lot of green salads for us. You really got me with this product because my wife is vegetarian and she loves green salads.

Thanks again and wish you all the best.

My wife absolutely adores the Click and Grow garden!  And, I’m sure your wife will love it, too!  But, don’t wait too long to buy it – they are going like hotcakes!

The problem is when you’ve been married forever, what can you get that’s innovative, exciting and something that’s wanted? Most if the time we just buy what we need throughout the year. That said, looks like I might have found the answer, though it might be too late for this years’ festivities. With my nearest and dearest having a birthday in February, I may well have just scored the jackpot.

She is an avid ‘virtual’ gardener. I mean, when the weather and life in general allows, she does like to get outside and do some gardening, plus she loves fresh vegetables as oppose to frozen. What could be better than the ‘Click and Grow Smart Garden’ It’s an ideal present. Plug and play, more or less. Being vegetarians, we’re both big salad eaters but this has a huge selection of possibilities to choose from. Your article has made some definite head scratching non-existent, thank you.
